Gorton Creek, OR
This was my first visit to the Panther Creek Falls in Washington. Panther Creek Falls is located in Gifford Pinchot National Forest Washington and consists of two drops - this being the smaller of the two. In order to get here we had to do some intense hiking, climbing and scaling of almost vertical rocks - at times grabbing vines and tree branches to maneuver down. The first drop is huge and can be very hard to shoot due to the immense amount of spray drenching your camera gear immediately. The lower drop is a little easier but one is faced with the challenge of crossing the stream waist-high to get an interesting perspective on this fall. Even in July this water is SOO cold it hurts; that is before feet go numb.
